I guess the imagery of someone being shot out in the open out of nowhere like that right when they're talking about gun violence was just really powerful, and I had to share it, maybe let my followers see a little bit of the world and stop shitting on this country so much.

I wouldn't blame people for having the backlash against making someone a saint. I don't think someone who disagreed with Kirk should have to treat him like mother Teresa or something. 


But you can have those disagreements and still have the proper human reaction to someone dying in such a horrible way. For all I know the Palestinian guy could've had his own opinions that I didn't like, he could've had revisionist views dismissing the suffering of non Muslims in other conflicts, etc. I don't know and even if I did it's irrelevant. He wasn't some violent thug attacking people who deserved to get shot, he was a guy recording shit going on at his friends land. Dean Withers was an outright rival of Kirk and he openly cried on live when he heard the news. He specifically said that no one deserved that, not even Kirk, and he was devastated that Kirk's kids had to see that at only 12 years old.
